A herbal mixture to support the metabolism of horses, especially during transitions from indoor feeding to pasture or in connection with other feeding changes or metabolic problems.
A herbal mixture to support the metabolism of horses, especially during transitions from indoor feeding to pasture or in connection with other feeding changes or metabolic problems. The selected ingredients support normal metabolism, insulin sensitivity, and sugar breakdown. Contains digestive and blood sugar-stabilizing fibers as well as easily digestible proteins.
B vitamins (brewer's yeast), minerals, and antioxidants maintain the body's insulin sensitivity and reduce e.g. the risk of diseases caused by starchy and sugary nutrition. Sugars are absorbed from the intestine into the bloodstream, from where they are transferred to the body’s energy production. This requires insulin produced by the pancreas. Within the cell, sugar is used to produce energy and this is the best known effect of insulin.
Herbs and Chia seeds maintain steady blood sugar in the body: gelling and very high in fiber and rich in fatty acids, Chia slowly releases nutrients for use by the body. The high fatty acid content of the diet can reduce e.g. inflammation in the body. Hawthorn berries support peripheral blood flow to the hooves.
